Highlights:

· As of July 30th, more than 1,500 aftershocks have been reported.

· A total of 5,398 people has died as of July 23^rd.

· 18,000 people as of July 30^th, are displaced throughout the affected areas.

· About 23,843 people remain in 107 transitional camps as of July 23^rd:

o The UN Migration Agency (IOM) as of July 27^th are supporting the management of five of these camps in La Guaira.

· As of July 23^rd, more than 117,000 people have been able to access essential services and humanitarian support.

· Healthcare and Public Health Update:

o The Pan American Health Organization (PAH) reported that the health response continues transitioning from emergency care to early recovery.

o A total of 14 World Health Organization Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) are operational across La Guaira, Caracas, Miranda, and Aragua.

o PAHO has supported the roll-out of a real-time surveillance dashboard.

o PAHO on July 31^st has delivered molecular diagnostic supplies to strengthen the capacity of the country's National Laboratory Network.

o IOM has coordinated the installation of a 20,000-litre-per-day water storage and treatment system in Campo de Golf, alongside sanitation improvements, waste management, and sanitary infrastructure enhancements in other sites.

· Food Security Update:

o The World Food Programme (WFP) has reached more than 120,000 people with food assistance. This assistance includes:

ü Hot meals in shelters.

ü Ready-to-eat rations for those still on the move.

ü Food baskets for households that can still cook and in communities who lost their sources of income.

ü Prepaid electronic vouchers in areas where markets are functioning.

o On July 28^th, WFP reported that they have expanded their response to the communities affected by the earthquakes:

ü In Chichiriviche de la Costa, they delivered 50 kg food baskets to 500 families.

· As of July 31^st, U.S. Southern Command reported that US forces delivered 1,126 tons of relief supplies and 304 tons of multi-national assistance.

· The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (OCHA) on July 28^th reported that to reach 1.4 million people $299 million is needed.
