Highlights: Â
·      There have been 609 reported aftershocks.
·      The earthquake has impacted at least seven states, La Guaira remains the heaviest impacted.
·      There are 1,1719 fatalities and 5,034 people injured. There is no reported number of missing persons but the national government has established a website for citizens to report missing loved ones.
·      At least 15,866 people have been displaced:
o  50 transitional camps have been established across the Greater Caracas area.
o  15 shelters are open in La Guaira.
·      The health system in La Guaira is under significant pressure due to the high number of injured people.
·      Building and Infrastructure Update:
o  At least 855 buildings have been affected.
o  2,501 infrastructure assets have sustained some level of damage. This includes 38 hospitals.
o  The electrical grid in La Guaira has been 90% restored.
o  The water supply as of June 28th stands at 68%.
·      The UN Development Programme (UNDP) estimated that the earthquake has produced 1.2 million tons of debris:
o  Approximately 915,000 tons are considered to be from damaged buildings.
o  332,000 tons are from household goods and personal belongings.
o  The highest volumes are concentrated in the areas of Catia La Mar, Caraballeda, and Urimare.
·      The UNDP reported that the economic impact of the earthquakes is preliminary estimated to be $6.7 billion.
·      International assistance Update:
o  The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (OCHA) is reporting a total of 49 Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams from 28 countries are conducting operations in the affected areas:
ü The teams are comprised of 2,358 personnel and 189 search dogs.
o  The World Food Programme (WFP) is scaling up its response, with a goal of reaching 500,000 people in the affected areas:
ü Food distribution has been established in La Guaira, providing food parcels that contain one-month’s worth of food rations for a minimum of 1,200 people.
ü Temporary feeding center have been established in La Guaira. These centers are providing humanitarian services from multiple UN agencies.
o  The European Union as of June 30th has delivered 47 tons of emergency relief via a Humanitarian Air Bridge flight
o  The U.S. Southern Command reported the following as of June 30th:
ü Logistics Surge: A U.S. Marine Combat Logistics Company has arrived in-country, bringing medium-sized military transport trucks, highly mobile off-road vehicles, and military ambulance capabilities. Their mission is to build capacity and further accelerate the movement of critical supplies and equipment.
ü Maritime Support: The USS Fort Lauderdale is berthed portside at the Port of La Guaira, providing vital support to relief operations. The ship offers additional medical capabilities and serves as a communications and distribution node to bolster the humanitarian assistance network.
ü Airlift Lifeline: A Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) has been established at Simón BolÃvar International Airport. This FARP enables rapid turnaround times for nearly a dozen rotary-wing aircraft executing personnel airlifts, emergency medical evacuations, and heavy-lift sling-load missions.
ü Expanded Reach: USS Billings is also supporting relief efforts by providing additional rotary-wing capabilities.
