Nationwide Highlights:
· The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reporting that as of June 5th there have been 1,168 cases in 34 jurisdictions. The states with the majority of these cases are:
o Texas
o California
o New Mexico
o Montana
o North Dakota
o Colorado
o Kansas
o Oklahoma
o Illinois
o Michigan
o Ohio
o Pennsylvania
· Texas has reported a total of 742 cases. The number of new cases has slowed so the state is reducing its reporting schedule.
· Nationwide, 95% of those infected were unvaccinated.
· 137 people nationwide have been hospitalized.
· There have been three confirmed deaths from measles.
