Highlights:
• The Red Flag Warning continues through 6 pm on Friday, January 10th in wind prone areas of Los Angeles and Ventura counties due to moderate-strong Santa Ana winds and low humidities.
• There remain three major fires, which are:
o Palisades Fire: 17,234 acres and is 0% contained.
o Eaton Fire: 10,600 acres and is 0% contained.
o Hurst Fire: 671 acres and is 10% contained.
• The California Department of Foresty and Fire Protection (CAL Fire) reported five preliminary fatalities due to these fires.
• At a minimum 117,000 people are under mandatory evacuation orders. The areas under these orders can be found here.

• There are seven general populations (1,053 occupants) and nine animal shelters open.
• 211 Los Angeles has partnered with Airbnb to offer free temporary housing to affected residents.
• The following resources have been deployed:
o CAL Fire has activated two Incident Management Teams.
o Palisades Fire: 2,321 personnel, 12 Helicopters, 297 Engines, 12 Dozers, 9 Water Tenders, and 44 Crews.
o Eaton Fire: 702 personnel, 79 Engines, 8 Dozers, 2 Water Tenders, and 9 Crews.
o Hurst Fire: 300 Crews
• Healthcare and Public Health Update:
o 15 healthcare facilities have been evacuated.
o Healthcare Ready RxOpen has been activated to assist resident in locating an open pharmacy.
• At least 408,000 customers are without power statewide.
• Damage assessments are ongoing. However, Los Angeles County estimates that more than 1,000 structures have been destroyed in the Palisades Fire.
• Through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact, the Oregon Fire Marshal’s Office is mobilizing 15 strike teams to assist California.
• On January 8th, the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation reported that the historic home of Will Rogers and the Barn that Jokes Built was destroyed in the Palisades Fire.
• Federal Response:
o The President has approved a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of California.
o The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 9 Incident Management Assistance Team has been deployed to the Southern California Area Field Office.
o Two FEMA Liaisons have been deployed to the State Operations Center and the Los Angeles County Emergency Operations Center.
