Las Vegas Cyber Truck Explosion Situation Report #3

Highlights:

• The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) reported that they have positively identified Matthew Livelsberger as the occupant of the Tesla Cyber Truck. He was identified using his military dental records and DNA.

• One of the phones had a journal, two letters of consequence were recovered:

o The letters detailed his political feelings and challenges in his personal and family life.

• The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has interviewed his friends, family members and fellow service members:

o Based on these interviews the FBI feels that he was suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and his death was an elaborate suicide.

• Investigators are still working to gain access to one phone and one laptop.

• Mr. Livelsberger was not on any watch list and had no criminal history.

• There is still no evidence linking the suspect from the New Orleans attack to Mr. Livelsberger.

• The Resiliency and Justice Center is open to offer support to anyone impacted by this incident. They can call 702-455-2433 or complete an intake form.
