o   Special units command center in Tabriz.

o   Imam Hassan security unit military compound in Tehran.

o   Ballistic Missiles and Artillery Command Center.

o   Intelligence and General Security Police Command Center in Maragheh Province.

o   Basij forces compound in Tabriz.

Regional Defense and Attacks:

·       The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense reported the following on March 10th:

o   Royal Air Force fighter jets continue to conduct defensive sorties in defense of Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

o   A ground based British Counter-Drone unit took out a drone in Iraqi airspace which was heading towards coalition forces.

o   The HMS Dragon departed Portsmouth and is now headed for the Eastern Mediterranean.

o   The RFA Lyme Bay (Landing ship) is being deployed with humanitarian and medical capabilities.

·       On March 11th, the U.S. State Department reported that Iran or their proxy forces may be planning to target U.S.-owned oil and energy infrastructure in Iraq.

·       U.S. Central Command on March 11th reported that they have destroyed at least 16 Iranian minelayers near the Strait of Hormuz.

·       The Institute for the Study of War provided the following analysis on Iran mining efforts:

o   Iran has deployed fewer than 10 naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

o   This is part of a broader Iranian effort to disrupt maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf to try to impose a cost on the Gulf states and the United States. Iranian efforts to mine the Strait of Hormuz will also likely further hinder Iran’s ability to export oil, including shipments to China, the largest importer of Iranian oil.

·       The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Centre reported the following attacks on commercial maritime traffic between March 10-11:

o   The Master of a container vessel has reported that the vessel has sustained damage from a suspected but unknown projectile. Extent of the damage is currently unknown but under investigation by the crew. All crew members are safe.

o   A cargo vessel has been hit by an unknown projectile in the Straits of Hormuz which resulted in a fire onboard which was extinguished and there is no environmental impact at this time. A skeleton crew remains onboard.

o   The Master of a Bulk Carrier located 50 Nautical Miles (NM) northwest of Dubai reported their vessel being hit by an unknown projectile. There is no report of any environmental impact. The crew is safe and well.
