Military and Diplomatic Highlights: Â
·      The joint Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) attacks began at 1:15 EST. The codename of these operations is:
o  United States: Operation Epic Fury
o  Israel: Operation Raging Lion
·      Operation Epic Fury has seemed to focus on military targets and Operation Raging Lion has focused on targeting military and civilian leadership. The overall goal of these strikes seems to be to set conditions for regime change and to prevent Iran from threatening the US or Israel.
·      The IDF has killed seven senior officials of the Iranian government, they include:
o  Ali Shamkhani, Defense Council Secretary
o  Major General Mohammad Pakpour, Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander
o  Saleh Asadi, Head of Intelligence of Khatem Alanbieh
o  Mohammad Shirazi, Chief of Military Bureau of the Supreme Leader
o  Aziz Nasirzadeh, Defense Minister
o  Hossein Jabal Amelian, Chairman of the SPND
o  Reza Mozaffari-Nia, Former Chairman of the SPND
o  The Supreme Leader has also been reportedly targeted but his whereabouts and whether he has been killed is unknown at this time.
·      Over 500 targets were hit in Iran, this included aerial defense systems and missile launchers in several locations throughout Iran.
·      Iran has launched about 35 missiles at Israel, US regional installation, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait
·      The U.S. Central Command reported that they successfully defended against hundreds of Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting US installations:
o  Damage to these installations has been minimal.
o  There are currently no reported causalities or injuries.
·      The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is monitoring the situation and urges restraint to avoid any nuclear safety risks to people in the region.
·      The U.S. State Department has issued a Global Travel Advisory following the attacks. Americans worldwide are advised to exercise increased caution.
·      U.S. embassies in the region have ordered shelter-in-place advisories.
·      The UN Secretary General has condemned the military escalation in the region.

Civil Protection and Humanitarian Assistance Highlights:

·      High rises buildings in the Juffair area were struck by Iranian drones.

Israel
·      Emergency sirens have been sounded throughout the country.
·      The Magen David Adom (MDA) has been fully staffed since the attacks on Iran began. They have so far treated over 100 people.
·      Iranian missiles have struck civilian targets in Central Israel and the Haifa region.

Islamic Republic of Iran
·      The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has deployed more than 200 rapid response teams in all affected areas. This included search and rescue teams.
·      Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing in Kermanshah following a missile attack on a residential area and the Hur Mosque.
·      The IRCS Emergency Operations Center has been activated.

Violations of International Humanitarian Law Highlights:
·      An Israeli or US attack killed at least 57 students and teachers at an all-girls school in Minab County, Hormozgan.
·      Another attack occurred on a residential area in Tehran’s Narmak 72 Square. There are currently no confirmed number of fatalities or injuries.
