Military and Diplomatic Highlights:

·       The Israel Defense Forces targeted the following facilities, assets and organizations in Iran on June 23rd:

o   Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iranian Internal Security Forces’ command centers and assets.

o   IRGCs Basij Headquarters.

o   The IRGC Alborz Corps that operates in the Tehran District.

o   Thar-Allah Command Center

o   Sayyed al-Shuhada Corps

o   General Intelligence Directorate of the Internal Security Forces.

o   Routes leading to the Fordow enrichment site.

o   Six military airports located in the western, central and eastern parts of the country.

·       Earlier today Iran launched a missile attack on the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar:

o   The country’s air defense forces intercepted and destroyed all of the incoming missiles.

o   All necessary steps were taken to ensure the safety of personnel at the base, including Qatari Armed Forces members, friendly forces, and others, while confirming that no injuries or human casualties resulted from the attack.

o   Qatar has stated that they reserve the right to respond directly in a manner equivalent with the nature and scale of this attack.

o   The U.S. Embassy in Qatar has lifted the shelter-in-place order.  The embassy will reopen on June 24, and consular services will continue without interruption.

o   Qatari airspace remains closed.

·       The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has provided additional information on the damage to the three nuclear facilities targeted by the United States:

o   Craters are visible via satellite imagery at the Fordow site, which is the main facility for enriching uranium. Given the explosive payload utilized, and the extreme vibration-sensitive nature of centrifuges, the IAEA expects that very significant damage is expected to have occurred.

o   Additional facilities at the Esfahan nuclear site were hit by US cruise missiles. Some of these facilities were used in the uranium conversion process. Also at this site, entrances to tunnels used for the storage of enriched material appear to have been hit.

o   At the Natanz enrichment site, the Fuel Enrichment Plant was hit, with the US confirming that it used ground-penetrating munitions.
